Makima, Chainsaw Man 2023

First artwork of 2023! You can't pose like this. Lol. Even if you had a snake's spine and the world's most flexible hamstrings. Bending over this far with no frontal support, and having your back arch this much, would be nearly impossible. Even if your top half was laying flat on a table to counter act the demand of gravity on your torso and back muscles, your hamstrings would definitly feel the burn. Knowing that, I DID want her to look as inhuman, yet still alluring, as possible, and this pose reminded me of a deer or some other creature. That aside, the first season of Chainsaw Man is done and I still couldn't be happier with this adaptation. I can't wait for the next season and especially the Gun Devil arc. Mappa knocked this out of the park and really took advantage of the strengths of the medium. Whole thing was beautifully cinematic.
